Florida Wing Overwater Survival Training Course

Pilots of Composite Squadron of Marion County ventured to Jacksonville where they underwent training and qualification for the CAP Overwater Survival Training Course conducted May 17th, 2008.

The 51 attendees from all over the state were provided class room instruction on survival gear and techniques followed by pool training in which each trainee was required to swim 200 yards and board an inflated raft.

All pilots of Composite Squadron of Marion County qualified with flying colors and included Lt. Col. Paul Blystone and Dave Lehtonen, Captain Ron Kielty and Rick Bishop, and Lt Chet Malanowski and Sal Davi.
