A super of Chicken Marsala, Mixed vegetables and twice baked potatoes was enjoyed by all.
Brief talks on the Cadet Program, Operations, Emergency Services and Communications was given.
Lt Col Richard Bishop introduced the guest Speaker C/MSgt Andrew Steinemann. Lt Col Bishop was Cadet Steinmann’s flight instructor. Cadet Steinemann talked about his ambitions of completing his flight training and receiving his Private Pilot’s License.
Since he was a young boy, looking up into the sky, he wanted to fly. He did get some solo training but the costs were far beyond his raising the monies. The Squadron’s solo scholarship program helped him a lot with a very low $15.00 an hour. He completed his solo training and then the Marion County Aerospace Foundation help fund his continuing his Private Pilot training thru their Private Pilot Scholarship.
